Attendance Guidelines for Receiving UCLC Credit for Instructor-Led Courses at UC Merced

Attendance parameters for learning participants to receive credit for all instructor-led educational activities are defined below.  The guidelines are effective as of January 2, 2019.

Learning participants attending any instructor-led courses at UC Merced must:

  1. Register for educational sessions through the UC Learning Center.
  2. Sign or initial the class roster to receive credit for the class.
  3. Contact hrtraining@ucmerced.edu within 15 days after your educational session if you attended, but did not sign/initial the class roster. Talent Development reserves the right to ask for materials/evidence of attendance.
  4. Review your transcript and notify Talent Development at hrtraining@ucmerced.edu if there are any attendance discrepancies within 90 days of the educational session.
  5. Attend at least 80% of the session for which you are registered in the UC Learning Center. The 80% completion guideline does not apply to mandatory trainings, as all assigned mandatory trainings must be completed by the due date.
  6. Notify the class instructor before the start of the class if you plan to leave early.
  7. Cancel class registrations in the UC Learning Center or send an email to hrtraining@ucmerced.edu if you are unable to attend a session.
  8. Understand if you registered but did not cancel or attend the educational session, you will receive a “NO SHOW” for attendance status.
  9. Understand partial attendance without advance notice will NOT receive credit (i.e. if attended 20 minutes of a 4-hour Customer Service class you will not receive credit for the session).
