Job Builder is an online tool used for viewing job standards and creating position descriptions for non-represented positions. This means that Job Builder can only be used for positions that are not in a bargaining unit. Approximately 630 job standards are available in 120 job functions, across 19 job families.
Although any faculty or staff member may create a position description using Job Builder, position descriptions are not official until they have gone through the regular review and classification process. Job Builder is designed to allow supervisors and managers to develop and maintain a job description library of their staff in the department/unit.
