This section provides guidance on setting expectations, giving feedback, conducting evaluations, and addressing concerns—equipping leaders to develop talent while maintaining compliance and equity. Grounded in UC Merced’s commitment to Inclusive Excellence and the Principles of Community, these resources help supervisors foster a culture of respect, accountability, and continuous growth. Supervisors are also encouraged to integrate the UC Systemwide Core Competency ABCs into their leadership approach, promoting behaviors and skills that drive individual success and organizational excellence.
