Welcome to the Career Advancement Mentorship Program’s Speed Networking program!
The speed networking program is the mentor/mentee pairing program for CAMP. Speed networking is a structured and fast paced networking event allowing potential mentors and potential mentees to interact with each other in a series of back-to-back, group information exchanges.
The objectives for the speed networking program are to:
- Become more knowledgeable about the Career Advancement Mentorship Program (CAMP) and its intended outcomes;
- Network with colleagues to learn personal and professional information, either by meeting new or reuniting with coworkers;
- Learn from mentors as they share information on their roles and what they’re looking for in a mentee; and to
- Return a rank-order list of colleagues you are interested in paring with for this year’s program.
After the conclusion of the speed networking program, the CAMP committee will meet to pair mentors with mentees. The committee’s goal is to match mentors with mentees who have similar family and functional career paths. Every effort will be made to pair mentors to mentees; however, if the committee is unable to pair a mentee to a mentor with a similar career path, a pairing will not be made. Final pairs will be notified in July 2018.
