Build Your Network (BYN) Program

New staff are invited to join the Build Your Network (BYN) program for up to six months after joining the UC Merced community.  The BYN program connects experienced staff members known as ambassadors with new staff members in efforts to expand networking and learning opportunities.  Learn how the BYN program and the New Employee Orientation align.  New staff will sign up for the BYN program during the in-person orientation.

Build Your Network Program Topics

An advisory group of new and experienced staff members met during spring 2017 semester to determine topics for the BYN program.  The seminars will be led by campus experts and facilitated by the BYN ambassadors.  Seminars will rotate every six months.

Spring - Fall 2017 Schedule

The BYN program coincides with the in-person orientation schedule, with the in-person orientation scheduled for the first Friday of each month and the BYN program scheduled for the third Friday of each month.  New employees are invited to the monthly sessions for six months.
