Grab your phone and a pair of sneakers and get ready to move during the annual UC Walks event at UC Merced on Thursday, May 21st!
UC Walks is the annual systemwide event that encourages UC faculty and staff to take time out of their day to go for a stroll in the name of wellness, community and campus spirit.
This year, UC Walks will take place virtually. At UC Merced, walks will take place via Zoom from 7:00am to 11:00am. Campus administrators will lead walks. Getting involved is easy. Participants are asked to call into the virtual walk through the Zoom app on their phone or call into the Zoom meeting from their phone and walk along with the group for at least 30 minutes.
Participants will receive a free t-shirt while supplies last. T-shirts will be available at a later date to UC Merced employees who complete the evaluation survey while supplies last. There will be prize drawings for participants who complete the evaluation survey, including a FitBit donated by Kaiser and other prizes donated by Anthem Blue Cross and Health Net Blue & Gold.
