As part of our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, UC Merced recently launched the UC Managing Implicit Bias Series. This systemwide program is a series of eCourses designed to increase awareness of implicit bias and reduce its impact at the University.
These six self-paced, interactive online courses complement our existing equity and inclusion programs and can be completed individually, together as a series to earn the UC Managing Implicit Bias Certificate, or as a part of the People Management Series and Certificate. As members of the UC community, being aware of implicit bias and how it impacts the way we work and interact with others is especially important.
In addition, these courses have been added to the People Management Series and Certificate as Core Requirements. The courses are as follows:

- The Impact of Implicit Bias
- Managing the Influence of Implicit Bias: Awareness
- Common Forms of Bias
- Managing the Impact of Implicit Bias: Mindfulness and Conscious De-biasing
- Managing Implicit Bias in the Hiring Process
