Maintain Don't Gain - Here's to Healthier Holidays

This holiday season, take charge of your weight!

Most Americans gain an average of about 1 pound during the holidays. While this might not seem like a lot, they usually don't lose it. And over time, it adds up. 

To help you beat the odds this year, we've teamed up with Kaiser Permanente to bring you Maintain Don't Gain. This 8-week program can help you stay focused on eating healthy and fitting in exercise - a great way to keep off the extra pounds!

Maintain Don't Gain takes place Nov. 19, 2018 through Jan. 11, 2019. 

The program encourages employees to maintain their weight through confidential weekly "self" weigh-ins. The program provides weekly challenges, as well as supportive tools and tips for adopting healthy behaviors throughout the holidays. It also supports participants in staying mindful of healthy habits such as incorporating physical activity and healthy eating into your enjoyment of the festivities. You'll receive eight weekly emails that will include challenges, tips, and resources to help you maintain your weight.

The first 250  participants will receive a "registration gift". 

How to Participate:

Step 1: Sign up here.

Step 2: Print the weekly personal tracking sheet (this document will be emailed out to all participants). 

Step 3: Weigh-in and record to track your activity and success on the weekly personal tracking each week. 

Step 4: Submit completed tracking sheet for weeks 1 through 2 by Dec. 4th to benefits@ucmerced.edu for a chance to win an incentive prize. 

Step 5: Submit completed tracking sheet for weeks 1 through 5 by Dec. 25th to benefits@ucmerced.edu for a chance to win an incentive prize. 

Step 6: Submit completed tracking sheet for weeks 1 through 8 by Jan. 15th to benefits@ucmerced.edu for a  chance to win a Fitbit Alta (an $80 value)!
