Career Advancement Mentorship Program Accepting Applications for 2016-2017

April 26, 2016

UC Merced’s Career Advancement Mentorship Program (CAMP) is now accepting applications for participants and mentors for its upcoming 2016-17 cohort.

Sponsored by Human Resources’ Learning and Professional Development and UC Merced Staff Assembly, CAMP is a volunteer program that matches experienced UC Merced mentors with staff members who seek mentoring and professional development.

The program provides an opportunity for mentors to share their knowledge and experience with mentees to better equip them to become future leaders and excel in their chosen field. The mentorship program matches mentors and mentees based on their interests and experiences and provides assistance with goal setting, job satisfaction, job enhancement and lateral or upward mobility. The University of California’s professional development policy is available for review here.

CAMP offers bimonthly workshops and group and individual mentorship opportunities to help further advance UC Merced staff members’ professional development goals. CAMP launches July 1 and ends June 30, 2017, and requires commitments of time, organization and motivation.

Additional information about the program is available in the trainings section of the Human Resources website. Those interested in volunteering as a CAMP mentor must submit a mentor registration form. CAMP mentees are required to submit an application form. The deadline for both mentor and mentee applications is noon, May 31.

We encourage you and your co-workers to learn more about this exciting program and consider participating. If you have any questions, please email
