Accommodation Management Services

UC Merced Accommodation management provides services to all employees in need of reasonable accommodation for a health condition or religious belief in order to perform the essential functions of their jobs.  This program provides consultation and training to supervisors and managers to ensure compliance with policy, laws and regulations related to confidentiality, disability access, accommodation for religion, and employment rights.

To facilitate reasonable accommodation for UC Merced employees, the office of Accommodation Management utilizes the Interactive Process.  The Accommodation Manager will act as intermediary for the employee and supervisor to determine what accommodations are reasonable and likely to enable performance of essential functions.

Accommodations Management does not handle claims for Workers Compensation, or requests for Family Medical Leave, but does coordinate with the pertinent administrators for reasonable accommodation considerations. Requests for accommodation related to learning assistance or facilities access should be directed to Holly Mayo, the campus Title II Coordinator in Student Services.
