Human Resources, the Office of Campus Climate and Staff Assembly partnered to present the Build Your Network (BYN) program. BYN is part three of the New Employee Orientation for new staff at UC Merced.
|(1) eBook||Upon hire, the new employee will gain access to an introductory eBook and video, which contains critical information and deadlines for the first 3 months on the job.|
|(2) In-person||After the online introduction, the new employee and his/her supervisor will attend an in-person mandatory orientation that helps the new hire examine their best self and their goals and align them with UC Merced’s vision to help propel the both the individual and the organization forward.|
|(3) BYN||The build your network program is an optional six-month learning and networking program led by experienced staff members (known as ambassadors) that offers social, cultural and professional guidance to newcomers as they further acclimate to life at UC Merced. Ambassadors provide key information to new employees and continue to facilitate the participatory and experiential monthly sessions for up to one year.
